ref. Superman, DC Comics, New York?. 2010
A little late but I had to give this a try. I still can't get my lines to come out really good. The pose is from something the the man, Jim Lee, did. I guess it's on the cover of For Tomorrow, Vol 2. considering all of the poses he has done that make superman look iconic, I had my pick. I look at a lot of his work at this website. [link]
I didn't stick to his exact look as I have a hard time negotiating the choice of shadows for some of the areas on his body. I kind of stuck to the plan but made enough of my own to play around with it. I prefer some of his older style with more cross hatch to show depth. I guess it's more appropriate for black and white images like this compared to the stuff he has to get colored and I would imagine is a head ache to color.
